MISFIT.
Misfit was ever present in our family’s lives for 18 years. She arrived during a storm, a tiny, frightened, unwanted, wet ball of fur, dropped on our doorstep. Her head was triangular, with a sweet facial expression and slanted pale green eyes. Misfit loved to hunt & explore. She lived in the outdoors & in our conservatory, as Jerry & Sarah were allergic.
Misfit was a Norwegian Forest Cat, a breed who accompanied the Vikings in their travels throughout the cold climate of Northern Europe, which led to their profuse thick, double coats, which kept them warm in any weather. Her thick fluffy, longhaired coat, especially around her neck, shed heavily in the Spring & large fur pelts peeled off, revealing her slender body. Misfit loved to climb to the tree & rooftops, where she could roost. She birthed 3 litters of kittens, one was eaten by a fisher. Purring loudly, she followed me from every point A to point B - day & night, even back & forth as I swam laps in our pool. Misfit was not easily stressed. She was hard-wired to allow me to feel that she knew & understood me. We had a soul-mate connection. How did I suddenly loose that ? Big chunks of my being seemed missing & I didn't want to rise out of bed for days after she passed on.

SPIRITUAL/RELIGIOUS VIEWS:
I am a pan-galactic agnostic/buddhist -not committed to believing in or disbelieving in the existence of god.
Irreligious, atheist or agnostic. Has faith in science and in a systematic understanding of the universe and how the laws of the universe work, and in humankind.
E=mc2 - i do sense energy fields within fields within fields. . . Of varying milieus . . . Some permeable, some densely tribal, some purely good – all rising from one unified womb of constant becoming.
Was raised with eight years of Catholic grade school and love all works and words of Jesus. Dislike most religions that followed and their holy wars up to this day.

POLITICAL VIEWS:
Registered independent, have usually voted for democrats because I believe in a woman’s right to choose. Big picture creative class left- want social net for very downtrodden- education instead of welfare makes sense, healthcare for  lowest echelon- mid/upper are paying for them now as they come in for treatments through emergency rooms. Our country is healthier when everybody is healthier, and all people, even undocumented here are given the opportunity to buy into healthcare. This is not about a handout, this is an insurance program. We do ourselves no favors by having illness abounding, particularly now and into our future, pandemic-wise. COVID and its variants should spur U.S. to vaccinate entire world and join hands with all to face upcoming viruses.

QUOTES:

"I believe in the practice and philosophy of what we have agreed to
call magic, in what I must call the evocation of spirits, though I do
nor know what they are, in the power of creating magical illusions,
in the visions of truth in the depths of the mind when the eyes are
closed; and I believe … that the borders of our mind are ever
shifting, and that many minds can flow into one another, as it were,
and create or reveal a single mind, a single energy ... and that
our memories are part of one great memory, the memory of Nature
herself." (W. B. YEATS Ideas of Good and Evil)

"You're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our point of view." (Obi-Wan-Kenobi)

"If we don't know that the story that we were brought up with is optional, then we live it out blindly and unconsciously." (Sam Keen)

“We look too much to museums. The sun coming up in the morning is enough.” (Romare Bearden)

“It may be that the universe is just one of those things that happens from time to time.” (Edward Tryon)

"I am not what happens to me, I am what I choose to become." (C.G. Jung)

"Your beliefs act like filters on a camera, changing how you see the world. And your biology adapts to those beliefs. When we truly recognize that our beliefs are that powerful, we hold the key to freedom" (Bruce Lipton)

"Old age is like climbing a mountain. You climb from ledge to ledge. The higher you get, the more tired and restless you become, but your view becomes more extensive" (Ingmar Bergman)

"A miraculous healing awaits this planet once we accept our new responsibility to collectively tend the Garden, rather than fight over the turf.” (Bruce Lipton)

“Nature is based on harmony. So it says if we want to survive and become more like nature, then we actually have to understand that it's cooperation versus competition.” (Bruce Lipton)
